A Long History of Harassment

Middleboro selectman, family target of Web attacks

ENTERPRISE CORRESPONDENT
Posted Aug 22, 2007 @ 03:51 AM

A grim-faced selectman demanded that some casino foes stop taking shots at his family, including his 2-year-old daughter, and purge their site of blogs that sexualize children.

Reading to his board from a prepared statement Monday night, Selectman Adam M. Bond detailed comments posted on CasinoFacts.org that targeted him, his wife and daughter.

Bond said someone using the screen name Monkberrymoon suggested, “Middleboro's little girls generally, and my daughter specifically, be enrolled in a dance class to become strippers.”

“If people really want to aimlessly bash or condone the bashing of public officials and at the same time run for the place of those same public officials in the recall election, so be it. It takes all kinds. But the line gets drawn where those people attack innocents, where they attack my daughter, who has done nothing to them,” Bond said.

Bond said one posting suggested, “A soothing thought would be Adam Bond being attacked and eaten by wild dogs! No, by cannibals! Killer bees? Yeah, killer bees.” With his wife, Victoria, pacing the hall, Bond said he would shoulder the personal attacks, but was visibly angry as he looked up from his statement and slowly said, “Leave my daughter alone.”

Bond further qualified his remarks, saying the entire site isn't denigrating, but, “these things keep cropping up.”

He suggested the directors get their Web site “under wraps” because “anonymity breeds irresponsibility.”

He called on the board of directors to end the mudslinging and named them, Annemarie P. Jacobson, Gregory Stevens, James D. Reynolds, Paul Weston, Richard Young, Robert M. Desrosiers and Stephen D. Morris.

After the meeting, CasinoFacts Director James Reynolds, who was reached by telephone, said the blogs leveled at Bond's daughter were uncalled for.

“That's got to go,” Reynolds said. “It's far beyond anything acceptable or imaginable.”

Reynolds agreed the anonymous nature of blogs can lead to irresponsibility.

“I took my own blog site down, it was getting unruly,” he said.

Director Annemarie Jacobson plans to address the issue with her board members and said it was disturbing.

“If I had seen it, I would have asked to take it off,” she said.

Jacobson sympathized with Bond and said children should not be involved in casino politics. When pictures of her own children showed up on the CasinoFriends' Web site, “It disturbed me as well.

James D. Reynolds, Paul Weston, Richard Young, Robert M. Desrosiers and Stephen D. Morris.

One has to take notice of how Mr Young's name is involved with both articles.

Actually, I'm a bit more interested in some of the names that aren't mentioned. I'd like to see some of these online abusers and their "anonymous" supporters dragged out of the shadows into the cold hard light of day....

Nice list, "Annonymous"! I think you may be off base where Carver Chic is concerned, however. My own sources have provided me with documents that would seem to indicate that her true life identity is, actually, Kim Shea, a member of CFO's Board. Her Blog's profile also credits Bellicose Bumpkin (aka Mark Belanger), as a blog team member.

Considering some of the inflamatory and offensive statements Kim has made on a variety of anti-casino blogs, I'm surprised that Mr. Bellanger would want to be publicly affiliated with her. Didn't Kim make a number of misleading statements regarding "threatening" e-mails and "videos of children" that she supposedly received? Bellanger seems to have made considerable efforts to cultivate a public persona of civility and restraint. Considering his affiliations, I suspect that something much darker lurks beneath the surface where he is concerned. And Mark naively pushes forward volunteering to revamp the Town's website. Wake up, Mark! It's not going to happen! I think people realize that they can't trust you.

As for Coffee Not, that blog is credited to a team, that includes: Cranberry Cynic (who I'm told is Bob Dunphy), Carver Chic (aka Kim Shae), Middleboro Review (Jessie Powell), Gladys Kravitz (Mary Tufts of Bridgewater}, Cdp Lakeville (who has been publicly identified as Carl Pierce) and Fiferstone.

Now Fiferstone is an interesting character, or recent invention of the anti-casino corps group. A very reliable source tells the Avenger that Fiferstone is actually another pseudonym of Carl Pierce's. Can this be true? There certainly do seem to be quite a few similarities there. Review their "detailed" blogger profiles. Look at the references to a "historic" MA family. Coincidence? Who knows? It's certainly worth watching.

My source apparently has this from a spy within Casino Facts. Oh, yes! There are quite a few "double agents" firmly entrenched high up in their organization. I always get a good chuckle reading Jessie's blogs. She seems to always be jumping from one wild conclusion to another. She doesn't seem to get the fact that people close to her are apparently betraying her confidences at every turn.

I would like to publically apologize for my previous comment of call anyone "Get a life, you LOSERS". I should have said, "Get over it, you lost." It was not an appropriate comment to make. It was not a well thought out comment. It was based on an emotional defense against the comments that were personal attacks towards myself and others. Those comments were removed by the on-line editor because they were in violation of the "pool rules" as stated below. Please forgive me, I had a "junior" moment. My comment was NOT a true reflection of myself or of any group I associate.

This is a good reflection of your past comments.

At least your trying to see your reflection.

I give you credit for that.

I am fiferstone, and I do not come from a "historic" MA family (please read "about me" again on my blog - my profile is publicly posted). I am also not Carl Peirce, though I am flattered by the supposition that I am.

First, let me say, I'm not going to attack Adam Bond. I'm going to state my own personal opinion and if he is threatened by that, then too bad.

I don't like Adam Bond.
In my opinion he is ruining our town.
I think he's an idiot.
I wish he'd move back to where he came from.
I AM uncomfortable and I don't trust him.
I think he sold his soul to the devil.
I think he thinks he will get a free pass on his stupidity because of his position on the BOS.
I think he can't understand why anybody in their right mind would oppose him.
I think he thinks he knows what's best for everybody and we should just lay down and let him rule the town.
I think he doesn't understand that being a public figure makes him a lightning rod for criticism.
I think he is extremely thin skinned for an elected official.
I think he actually is Big Pussy.

I don't find that at all surprising. Bridgewater's blogging bitch, Mary Tufts, probably wrote that little love letter herself. She obviously has some sort of twisted fixation with Adam Bond, judging from the volume of crap she's written about him. Based on her Internet ramblings, I'd say that Mary's more than year long obsession with Adam Bond borders on stalking and harassment.

It's just downright weird. Imagine someone starting a whole blog like www.coffeenot.blogspot.com just because someone wouldn't post one of your comments on his website. Talk about an obsession! If she isn't divorced, I suspect she will be soon enough. I can't imagine any husband putting up with public behavior of that sort. How humiliating and embarrassing for her family.

What's really sad is she seems to really think that people check out her blog because it's educational or entertaining. In my opinion, Mary Tufts is about as bright as a box of rocks and her wit is of the 7th grade variety. I suspect that 90% of the people who check out that blog, do so ONLY to see who she's attacking at the moment. Her blog is like a horrible car crash. You know you shouldn't, but you just can't help but take a peek. She's a looser, who latches onto the coat tails of others attacking them to get attention for herself. Mary Tufts doesn't get it. Bashing other people from the sidelines is not "doing something" or "accomplishing something" with your life!

Quote from Mark Belanger Aka: Too many names too count.

"So what does this have to do with the Mashpee Wampanoag tribal casino being planned for Middleboro, Massachusetts in a deal that was negotiated by Adam Bond and supported by the Casino Study Group including CSG chairman Brian Giovanoni and also backed by Hal Brown editor of casino-friend?

Absolutely nothing. I just figured the previous paragraph would trigger several dozen google alerts and get me a few more hits on my blog. Hi guys. You really must stop googling for yourself. It'll just drive you nuts"

Don't ever let this "Bag full of Trash" off the hook.

Bag of trash is a pretty apt description considering this quote. It appears that what we have here is a written admission that a) Belanger knows and intends to cause emotional distress on his targets and b) he is deliberately using google to publicly tarnish people's reputations and get hits for himself. Outrageous! Where can this posting be found? Do you have a print out? The Avenger wants to pursue this one.

Mr Belanger is in a stealth mode.

So he can trot around saying, No not little O'l me.

Everyone knows he is behind 50% of the annonymous posts.

This last post of his shows its not about a Casino its all about hurting people.

"The Threat Of Reservation Shopping
Anti-gambling activists use it to scare small children"

"Reservation Shopping"

Richard Young,Carl Pierce and Mark Belanger of Casinofacts.org run around in public saying it all the time.

Is there a connection?

Who knows, Makes one think though.

On some level one has to see these people as pretty pathetic. I read somewhere that anyone who finds their sense of self esteem in diminishing others is clearly at odds with the laws of nature. Karma will come back to bite them threefold in the end.

I was actually very surprised at how quickly Bellanger blogged about Hal's site shutting down for a few hours. Seems as if he's watching Mr. Brown a bit too closely. Those are the type of Freudian slips that betray his true level of involvement.

The last couple of weeks Casino Facts has done good.

Inside information says, Jessie has her own problems too deal with.

Notice how it has stopped without Jessie's anonymous comments.

Expose the source and things sure got squelched quick.

Who said this?

A real person will never win an argument against a virtual person.

So it seems Casinofacts.org and there continued harassment of Pro Casino Voters has been the expert instructor on internet abuse.

You taught us well.

Middleboro Recall said...
In a conversation that I had with the Senator, he indicated that his support for casino gambling was based on strong union support.

While the promise of perhaps 2,000 construction jobs during the municipal construction projects surrounding the proposed Middleboro casino is enticing, beyond Glenn Marshall's promise of additional union jobs, there is no written commitment.

Although Glenn Marshall made great commitments to Middleboro about casino wages, there are no guarantees included in the Agreement to protect those workers once the land become 'Trust Land.'

While I appreciate the social issues that have been raised, of greater concern should be the peripheral impacts of 5,000 low wage workers in our community.

The CT casinos employ 10,000 and 12,000 workers respectively.

About half of those workers are employed through sub-contractors, successfully distancing the Indian Casinos from accusations of hiring guest workers or illegal immigrants. And workers' rights?

During shift changes, the streets surrounding Mohegan Sun are filled with so many Asian workers walking, that the roads are nicknamed 'Ho Chi Min Trail.'

The issue of low-income housing within close proximity is known and has been addressed in coded language about zoning changes and enforcement. Although 'Hot Bedding' and 'Hut Houses' have been discussed, the areas surrounding the proposed casinos lack any excess housing to absorb the impact or the population from which to attract large numbers of low wage workers.

Many of the communities have never experienced the demand created by 40B housing.

Of greater concern is the impact on schools, not only in Middleboro, but surrounding communities.

"Clark, CT went from 2 ESL teachers to now requiring 100".

The concern that I raised with the Senator was the impact on local healthcare services.

How can a worker earning $7 an hour afford even the state's health insurance?

Although the Senator assured me that workers would be forced to buy into the state's health insurance system, subsidized by taxpayers, it seems yet another burden not considered.

October 6, 2007 12:18 AM

Where is Clark CT?

Where is Jessie getting this information.

The Internet Avenger said...

I don't know. It is hard to believe she had any lengthy conversation with "the Senator". It seems that even the local Selectman won't give her the time of day. All of her "concerns" seem to revolve around "low income workers" of different ethnic backgrounds. When key spokes people for the anti-casino cause make statements such as these, they shouldn't be at all surprised when allegations of racism swirl around their group. These arguments seem rooted in ignorance and predjudice, not compassion and concern.
